Thiruvananthapuram : The national politics is in grave crisis. Should BJP come to power in coming Lok Sabha elections, they will proclaim India as a Hindu Rashtra(nation), said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan, inaugurating the Tripura solidarity rally CPI(M) organised at EK Nayanar Park, Thiruvananthapuram.
The 2024 parliamentary elections will provide the answer to if India should remain a democratic nation. To the RSS and BJP, Hindus mean only the upper caste corporate owners. Evan while there are 32 crorre people starving around the country, the BJP government says it will have built Ram Temple by 2025. RSS has taken control of all sectors in the country. Efforts now are to take over thecountry's judiciary.. The appointment of a Mahila Morcha leader as judge in Madras High Court, is part of this plan. If there be free and fair elections in Tripura, the semi-fascist government of BJP shall be toppled in the state.
When the people resisted attacks of the RSS-BJP goons, the government came down heavily using paramilitary and the police. MLAs from Opposition including the CPI(M) are unable to visit their own constituencies. CPI(M) leaders including State Committee members are being killed. It is not possible to win Tripura on public support alone. This is a malady not confined to Tripura alone, but is rather a problem in the rest of India too, said MV Govindan.
Kadakampally Surendran MLA presided over the event. Other attendees included : Minister V Sivankutty, District Secretary V Joy MLA, DK Murali MLA, Mayor Arya Rajendran, C Ajayakumar and S Pushpalatha.
