IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall For Next Few Days : 2 Districts On Red Alert, 8 On Yellow

Thiruvananthapuram: The IMD  predicted heavy rainfall in coming days for Kerala and  issued Red Alert(very heavy rain) for 2 districts and Yellow(heavy rains) for 8.Wayanad and Kannur are on Red Alert,

Orange Alert has been announced for Kozhikode and Kasaragod districts. Authorities warned of flash floods and water logging incidents. Continued rainfall also poses threat of mudslides and landslides, officials cautioned and instructed alert across government agencies for potential eventualities.
 
Heavy rains(Red Alert) means rainfall 115.6 to 204.4 mm in 24 hours
