Thrissur : Other passengers were unwilling to intervene as youth made indecent exposure to the girl in the bus, said KSRTC Conductor KK Pradeep. Maybe it’s the hassles involved in likely litigation that discouraged them from responding, he added.
There were around 60 people in the bus. None were ready to come to help me or the driver with the situation, said Pradeep.
Soon as the youth got into the bus, he seated himself between two women. Though that was out of character for a male passenger. However I did not interfere, as the women did not immediately complain, said Pradeep.
The untoward incident took place during traffic block at Athani. The girl screamed when the man started to expose himself . Pradeep said he rushed toward the girl and proceeded to call the police. Meanwhile, the youth who denied the incident, pushed people around and fled the bus.
