Kochi : Infopark scaled up remarkably in credit rankings of country’s prime crdit rating agency the CRISII, moving to “A Stable” rating from its earlier “A Minus”. The upgradation from CRISIL (Credit Rating Information Service of India Ltd) comes for having sustained progress, optimal investment of govt aid into projects and working future projects.
CRISIL is subsidiary of American global financial research company and was established in 1987. Infopark CEO Sushant Kurunthil said the elation comes as recognition of Infopark's meticulous work in the financial sector. Transparency has beenhall mark to business operations at Infopark, he added.
Will Arrange Work Near Home
Infopark is preparing to literally provide work opportunities near to home. The endeavour will fetch Rs 50 crores in financial assistance that the State Govt set aside for “Work Near Home” scheme in Budget. “Integrated transport and work space” will be envisaged utilising buildings of Kochi Metro stations. It would be the first such initiative in the country.
Infopark earned Rs 8500 crores by the way of software exports in the last financial year, a gross increase of Rs. 2190 crore that marks a growth rate of 35 percent. Presently, 15 lakh sq feet of IT space is being readied for companies at Infopark. Also, 3.5 lakh sq ft space is being marked for IT buildings.
