THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The Interim Order is a fitful backfire to the Opposition for questioning agreement between Sprinklr and the state government in court, said CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The document pulls apart all of Opposition’s arguments targeting the agreement - one that was made under extraordinary circumstances to contain Covid-19 outbreaks in the state.
The court refused to stay or cancel the contract acknowledging that the govt, in dire conditions as we have now, have taken measures of emergency and essential nature. The agreement covers terms to ensure data protection and the court made no negative observation on this count. The govt in its affidavit to the court had highlighted measures toward protecting data collected for assessment purpose to aid Covid-19 containment efforts.
The Opposition should step back from propagating false claims related to the issue and show willingness to pitch in with efforts that help combat the potentially deadly pandemic, Kodiyeri said in a statement.
