Thiruvananthapuram : Generous doses of praise were showered upon Modi at an event organised by INTUC in the city. Several joyful verdicts have come by under Modi’s rule, said all India president to Construction Workers’ Confederation, RM Parameswaran at the function. The event was held after Mizoram governor and BJP leader, Adv PS Sreedharan Pillai, and party senior Raman Pillai arrived for the occasion by prior invite.
The function involved inauguration of Modi government’s Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana - the pension scheme for workers in the unorganised sector. The INTUC-organised event was inaugurated by Sreedharan Pillai. Parameswarn was liberal in his praise of Pillai too: “This day is sacred given that Mizoram governor is here to participate; The occasion is one of extreme joy with a man of such high stature in attendance,” he said.
In the inaugural speech, Sreedharan Pillai congratulated INTUC and its leader Parameswaran for implementing the Prime Minister’s scheme. Other attendees at the event included Anand Bose, Aliyad Surendran, member of National Farm Workers’ Confederation Chndrshkanar and Kannur Baby.
