Kochi : Close on heels of overseas fundraising fraud in the name of Punarjani scheme, complaints pointing to irregularities in MLA Fund utilisation of Opposition Leader VD Satheesan, trickles in. According to the complaint, Satheesan diverted MLA funds into real estate mafia deals and to help its members.
The complainant alleged there is more involved in setting up of electricity lines and road in a stretch with just one house and not sanctioning funds for road at place with thickly packed houses. The MLA funds are being funneled to Satheesan’s benamis, the complainant said.
The complaint was filed with the Chief Minister, by Panchayat Development Committee Converner Abdul Salam. He alleged Rs 30 lakh from MLA funds were spent over a paddy field owned by benami group for constructing road, setting up electricity line and water connection there .
