Kochi : The IT sector accomplishment has been a big leap for Kerala; It’s an industry most suited to the state, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, speaking at inaugural of various projects at Infopark.
Kochi’s Infopark is coming up impressively. The IT sector has been able to generate 46 lakh jobs in the state since 2016. A total of 45,569 employees joined work during this time. Kerala has transformed into the country’s most startup-friendly state. Very soon, four IT corridors shall be set across state. Fibre connectivity among IT hubs shall be ensured via K-Fon, said CM.
The K-Fon project is nearly 74 per cent complete. Mandatory license and certifications have been secured in this regard. Welfare funds shall be set up for employees in the IT sectors. Rs 1000 crores of funding from KIIFB shall be availed towards land acquisition for IT. Also labour laws shall be ensured for this sector, said CM.
