Former Janayugam Editor MS Rajendran Passes Away

Piravam  : CPI State Council member and former editor at Janayugam, MS Rajendran has died aged 91. He has served as member of CPI State Executive, Education Sub-committee, Control Committee and editor of Navyugam. The end came early this morning from age-related events. .

MS Rajendran was born on 13 November 1931 as second child of  Shankaran Pillai and Ammukutty. After schooling in Piravam, he joined UC College in Aluva where he joined Students Federation and embraced communism  following which, he  was terminated. In 1949, he arrived in Thiruvananthapuram as a inter-mediate student and joined Travancore Students’ Union and became secretary to   Travancore-Kochi Students Federation formed later.

Rajendran has also served as national SFI leader in Delhi. He joined the Soviet Union division in 1956 and reached Moscow after assuming charge of Progress Publications. He retuned to  Kerala in 1982 and became Chief Editor of Janayugam daily. MS Rajenran’s brothers : MS Sen(Retd KFC) and Later Shri. Raveendran and Gokulnath.
