K-Fi Scheme: 2000 More Public Places To Have Free Wi-Fi

Thiruvananthapruam : The State government’s K-Fi scheme will make free Wi-Fi services available at  2000  more public places. The IT Mission is currently setting up hotspots under this scheme, for which the government has lend nod to funding totaling to  Rs 20 crores,  Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote on  Facebook page  Monday.

The 2000 places slated for the services are apart from bus stands, district administration centres, panchayat centres, parks and major government hospitals that have  already been  equipped with free Wi-Fi.

The project aim is to make benefits of technology available to all sections of the society and together with it, make governmental measures transparent and easily accessible to all, read the FB note.  With projects including K-Fi making public Wi-FI available to all, the Kerala is moving toward the goal to becoming a fully digitalized State, wrote CM.
