Thiruvananthapuram : There is no consultations within party, said Congress leader K Muraleedharan once again, reacting to KPCC president Mulapally Ramachandran recent dig at party MPs. The MPs shall not contest in coming Assembly polls., the Muraleedharan clarified, adding that, his remark was aimed toward KPCC President and not the individual thereof. Is there a need for so much ruckus around resigning a post?, the MP further asked.
The decision to stop protests was taken without consulting anyone and gives an impression of backing out owing to fear, said Muraleedharan. I had expressed wish to become UDF Convener, he said, adding that, he had not been informed of party reorganization. However, I do not wish to deceive like some people did, the MP said.
KPCC President, Mulappally Ramachandran had recently remarked that Congress MPs were looking to returning to state - a proposition, he said, was unacceptable. Mullapally maintains that while MPs K Sudhakaran, K Muralidharan, Adoor Prakash, Benny Behnan and Kodikunnil Suresh nurture wish to contest state elections, it is not possible to acknowledge that aim.
