K Surendran Lodges Complaint With Chief Minister Seeking To Not Screen BBC Documentary In Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram : BJP state president K Surendran lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister seeking to not grant permission for screening  BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kerala.

The letter says the recalling of unfortunate occurrence that happened two decades ago is aimed to incite religious hate.

Backdrop : The documentary indicts  Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Gujarat genocide of 2002. The Centre had Twitter and YouTube take down the documentary on its request. The two-part documentary draws heavily on secret report from an UK team that visited Gujarat after the bloodletting.

Surendran's complaint comes in the wake of DYFI and SFI  accouncing the documentary shall be screened in Kerala.
