K Surendran’s Yagam Under Fire Inside BJP; Cost Exceeds Rs 3 Crores

Kollam : The  “Yagam” led by BJP state president K Surendran for winning Lok Sabha elections is increasingly coming under fire in Party circles. At a recent meeting held during Yuva Morcha’s  Learning Shivir in Kozhikode, there took discussion over Yagam  in presence of the state general secretary MT Ramesh.

The faction against Surendran slammed asking, what was the point of conducting Yagam without actually performing. There is active campaign against the Yagam in Atalji Foundation in Kollam - astaunch  anti-Surendran group.

As part of “Mahakirathu Rudra Yajna” there is  “Sahasra Chandika Yagam”  held each year at Thrissur’s Panjalthottam between May 12 -18. However, in variance to that, the said Yagam costing more than Rs 3 crores, was conducted,  partaken by 160 priests led  by Kollur Mookambika Chief Priest Subramaniya Adhika.

K Surendran was present all through.  BJP State Vice President Dr. KS Radhakrishnan, General Secretary C Krishnakumar, Secretary A Nagesh, VV Rajesh, Yuva Morcha State President CR Praful Krishnan and KVS Haridas and a couple of prominent industrialists  also attended the Yagam. BJP All India Secretary Arvind Menon marked his presence fro a day.
