Kochi: Mani C Kappan who left NCP would be considered for UDF alliance only after due examination, said KPCC President Mulapally Ramachandran adding that, there has been no talks so far on Kappan allying with the front. Mullappally expressed his personal take on the issue saying, “It is my wish to see Kappan contest on the (Congress’s) hand symbol. Kappan’s talks however have been one that of allying with UDF”, he added.
Other views: Mullappally said, Congress will not make Sabarimala a focal point in its election campaign this time. It is Congress’s prerogative to be having greater number of seats, he said. That includes seats left behind by LJD’s breakaway, he added.
At no point has Congress sidelined K Muraleedharan. All decisions are taken after due discussions by the Political Affairs committee, he said. Mullappally clarified, he will not contest in Assembly elections and said the line of politics followed by CPI(M) state secretary A. Vijayaraghavan is a dangerous one,
