Thiruvananthapuram:Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking urgent intervention in Karnataka’s entry ban on people and vehicles from Kerala at its borders.
In shutting borders, Karnataka has put hardship on students and persons seeking cross-border medical treatment. They are even stalling vehicles carrying essential goods. Karnataka’s move is opposed to central guideline that inter-state movement of people and traffic shall not be hindered. Therefore, the centre should take urgent measures to lift Karnataka’s border blockade, CM said in the letter.
