Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded 3527 fresh Covid-19 cases today taking the total for confirmed cases so far in the pandemic to 7,23,977. There were 3106 contact infections reported during the day, of which the virus source to 324 cases remains untraced. On other data for the day, there were 21 covid deaths and 3782 recoveries. With this, state death-toll in the pandemic rose to 2951 and recoveries to 6,68,733. A total of 63,752 persons remain under treatment currently.
The new infections today include 63 cases pertaining to travelers from states outside and 34 health workers.

Quarantine: A total of 2,59,083 people are under observation currently of whom, 13,260 remain quarantined various hospitals and the remaining 2,45,823 are being monitored in their homes/institutions. 1061 people were newly admitted into hospitals during today for observation purposes. Presently 63,752 people remain under treatment in various hospitals across the state.
Hotspot status: There were no new hotspots, nor were any existing ones delisted. Total hotspots currently in the state : 463. State test positivity rate is 9.91
