The new infections today include 283 cases pertaining to travelers from states outside and 117 health workers.
No traveler from UK, South Africa or Brazil was diagnosed with covid-19 in the past 24 hours. Total covid caseload pertaining to incomers from UK figures at 114, of which 11 are the mutated variant type, 8 travelers from South Africa and 1 from Brazil have tested positive for coronavirus so far
Testing : 1,64,60,838 samples have been subject to testing in the pandemic so far, - up by 1,63,321 in the past 24 hours. The test positivity rate today figured at 25.69 %.
