Thiruvananthapuram : The state government will provide all support necessary to Customs officials in their probe into the smuggled gold intercepted at Trivandrum International Airport, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The gold haul is the biggest ever to be seized in the state, the minister added.
There have emerged clues on suspects' identities, CM told reporters at a press briefing held in the capital. There are some desperately trying to link the event to the Chief Minister or the Chief Ministerial Office. BJP state president K Surendran’s bland allegations are part of that attempt, said CM.
Public is well aware how my office can never be involved in anything gross and, Surendran wagging tongue will not persuade them to believe fake allegations, said CM adding that, culprits should not be lend cover by kicking up senseless accusations.
I had known nothing about Swapna’s appointment, said CM in response to a media query.
