Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala prepares to launch nation’s largest protest against centre’s fuel price hike loot. Led by LDF, over 20 lakh people will join up across 5 lakh centres to agitate against unabated and unwarranted upping of fuel prices notwithstanding the hard times masses are already reeling under. The Wednesday demonstrations will be centric to local self bodies with protest staged in each ward in their limits. The scale of protest will usher a new chapter in the history of protests in Kerala. Four persons will pan out at each ward In adherence with Covid protocol. There will be 25 centres at panchayat levels while that number would rise to around 100 for municipalities and corporations.
As part of the protest, wide campaign toward the cause has already begun on popular platforms including social media. Apart from LDF leaders, prominent names in social and cultural realms will also participate in the protest.
