Palakkad : By 2025, Kerala will be become a state no person living in extreme poverty, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Efforts toward this has been set in motion, said CM inaugurating country’s first Welfare Fund Board for those working under Employment Guarantee Scheme.
64,000 families living in extreme poverty have been identified in the meantime and efforts are underway to salvage them from their present state. This goal will be wholly met by December of 2025. Of the 600 promises made in the election manifesto, 580 have been fulfilled this far, said CM.
3.9 lakh title deeds have been issued in Kerala in the past 7 years, said CM. Minister for Local Self-Governments, MB Rajesh presided over the event.
