Kochi It is setback for Governor Arif Muhammad Khan once again, with the Division Bench of High Court on Thursday staying Justice Devan Ramachandran’s ruling asking to nominate a Senate representative to the Search and Selection Committee for appointment of Kerala University Vice-Chancellor.
Justice Devan Ramachandran had also ruled that, if nothing was done in the stipulated period, the Governor who is also the University Chancellor, can take his own decision. That direction too has now been suspended in the Division Bench’s interim ruling.
The Division Bench comprised Chief Justice S Manikumar and Justice Shaji P Chali that heard the appeal filed by four Senate members seeking cancellation of the Single Bench verdict.
