Govt Will Not Carry Tainted People; No Mercy For The Corrupt: CM

Thiruvananthapuram : The government is not obliged to carry tainted individuals, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. There will be no mercy on part of  government for those living off public money, said CM, inaugurating the awareness campaign of government employees.

Some people look to profit from development and social welfare schemes. Their confidence of passing undetected provides motive for corruption. The only way to think of thise individuals are as  blots to  public services. There will be strict action against   wrongdoing. The govt will  gather data on corrupt officials and follow it up with investigations. None should assume they can steal public funds or accept bribes and live luxuriantly  There will be no compromise with regard to people who put public to distress.

Officials should provide public services in timely manner. Active involvement on part of officials is essential for implementation of government schemes. Thee has to be good employee support from all departments. Emphasis shall be laid on  small and medium  sized businesses This will help ensure industrial progress and meet government goal of  facilitating one lakh new business ventures in an year’s time. Cities must transform into sustainable urban places.  A special  Commission shall be formed and help sought from international consortium. Rs. 800 crores shall be allocated to this project, said CM.
