Kerala Extends Support To W. Bengal & Odisha; CM Writes To Mamata Banerjee, Nitin Patnaik

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Announcing all possible relief on behalf of the Kerala government to West Bengal and Odisha,  Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan urged people in the state to volunteer whatever  assistance possible for the  cyclone-ravaged states Affirming Kerala’s solidarity to all states that battle crisis, CM wrote to Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Odisha CM Nitin Patnaik :-

 

“Cyclone has caused massive destruction in the state. Reports show how the public life in  Bengal has been hit  badly in the disaster. Several human lives have been lost. Thousands have lost their homes and livelihoods.  The onslaught has come in the midst of combating Covid-19 pandemic.

 

 The impact in Odisha too is very large. The Centre should provide all possible assistance  to both the  states.

 

Having  been through  similarly devastating disaster recently, we fully grasp the pain being suffered by populations of Bengal and Odisha. We extend deep condolences to families of the bereaved. We share sorrow in their grief. “
