Alapppuzha : Police book Vellapally Natesan in the death of SNDP Kanichukulangara Union Secretary KK Maheshan. The SNDP Yogam General Secretary has been arraigned as first accused in the case booked by Mararikulam police in Alappuzha. Also accused in the case are : Vellappally’s son and BDS leader Thushar Vellapally and his manager KL Ashokan. In the suicide note left behind, Maheshan named all three as responsible for his death.
SNDP Union Secretary KK Maheshan was found dead inside the Kanichukulangara unit office on 24 July, 2020. Relating to the Microfinance Scam, the Crime Branch questioned Maheshan, who at the time was also the union state coordinator. On the very next day of his questioning, Maheshan was found hanging . He had pasted suicide note on a walls inside the office.
The note said “I dedicate my death to all union leaders undergoing torture for sake of Vellapally and KL Ashokan. The letter Maheshan wrote to the Circle Inspector and Vellapally shortly before his death, had viralled on social media.
