Kollam: As states around the country grapple with oxygen shortages, KMML plant in Kollam creates history with surplus supplies. It has transported 1000 tonnes of medical oxygen in the past six months to the state's health sector.
The plant is capaciated for daily oxygen production of 70-tonnes. It began operations in October of last year and was originally set up for catering the industrial sector. However, as the deadly pandemic tightened its grip, the plant’s produce proved to be boon for the state's treatment venues. Now 63 tonnes of daily load leaves KMML on industrial rounds, and the remainig surplus of 7 tonnes is delivered to the health sector.
