Thiruvananthapuram : BJP’s  State Office Secretary G Girish told police he knows Dharmaraj - the man who drove the havala money-laden car from its origins into the state.  Girish was questioned at Thrissur Police Club on Thursday .The state General Secretary M Ganesh was questioned a day later on Friday. The two were summoned after Dharmaraj revealed  links the both men had the havala money.

Girish arrived at the Police Club at 10 am in a car with BJP flag driven by the party district president KK Aneesh. The questioning lasted up to 1.30 pm afternoon and Girish was allowed to leave with tip that he would be called again when necessary.

The probe team received reliable information that the havala money in Kodakkara robbery case was meant for the party’s pre-election activities and much of their questions revolved around it.  Girish denied any links to the havala money although he admitted knowing Dharmaraj.

Police have confirmed the origin of money as a BJP centre in Karnataka. A part of the money looted in Kodakkara had been given to  a benami, whose capture would land  guilty BJP leaders in the net. Dharmaraj had revealed how the lodging at Thrissur for the robbery gang was arranged by BJP leaders. The hotel employees too corroborated that story and provided register records in confirmation. And now, police plan to summon Thrissur District Office Secretary Satheeshan for more details.
