Kaladi : KPCC Secretary CS Sreenivasan was arrested on charges of defrauding people who made deposits with his finance company = the Heaven Nidhi Ltd headquartered in Thrissur’s Punnkunam. Sreenivasan is also the managing director of the company.
There are 18 cases registered by Thrissur West police involving Rs 7.78 crore belonging to 62 investors. Their monies were accepted in form of deposits and on promise of attractive interest rates. But neither interest nor refund came their way, despite depositors demanded their deposits and interest sums long after they were due.
Sreenivasan who remained in hiding after filing for anticipatory bail, nabbed from Kaladi by an arrest team led by . District Crime Branch ACP, K Susheer.
