Web Desk(Tvm)Updated: Thursday Sep 24, 2020

Thiruvananthapuram : In a rather outrageous behaviour, KSU State President KM Abjijith conned health authorities while testing for Covid and went into hiding soon after on learning about  his infection. A police case related to the case had been filed with the police by Pothencode Panchayat President.,

Abhijit faked his identity during covid tests conducted at  Thachapally LP School in Pothencode. Here, 19 out of 48 persons tested here were found  positive for the virus and that included 3 people from Plamoodu ward in the panchayat. While health workers rounded up 2 people in the ward for hospitalisation, their search for the  third person who listed himself as Abhi residing at Thiruvonam, came up empty. The family at that address said  no person by that name  lived there.

Following this, the Pothencode Panchayat president lodged a police complaint seeking to trace the absconding patient. Police in their inquiry found the address belonged to  KSU state secretary Bahul Krishna and from there, the  trail after the  ghost identity eventually led them to  KSU state president KM Abhijit.
