“Kunjalikutty Is Greedy, Joseph Lacks Public Support” – KPCC Committee Report Stirs Up Controversy

Thiruvananthapuram : PK Kunjalikutty and PJ Joseph became factors  for election fiasco, said KPCC Committee report - an  all-new awakening  that has has opened doors to thick controversy. PK Kunjalikutty shuttled from Assembly to Lok Sabha and back to Assembly while PJ Joseph faction had lost public support, said the report.  The report has enraged Joseph faction especially the  claim that Kerala Congress covertly supported PJ Joseph.  Muslim League, stuck with  its own set  of in-fighting, is cautiously silent on the report.

A couple of leaders from the Joseph faction hit out saying, this was  Congress’s attempt to ostracise them despite  their  steadfastness with the UDF.. It is Congress’s attempt to place the onus on allies and free themselves of blame, they added. The KPCC Committee in its report says  KM Mani’s exit from UDF drained traditional vote banks and Joseph faction failed to  stop   that erosion. The Joseph faction is also furious with the blame  that it lacked organisational strength. It  slammed the report and accused it of  insulting  the veteran leader PJ Joseph.

Resigning  his Lok Sabha seat and contesting for Assembly, lowered respect for Kunjalikutty among voters,  the report said. Incidentally, the attack on Kunjalikutty, who is already in tight spot inside League, comes on   pre-meditated motive. Saddled with  octracisation  within League,  this  stand will break him further.

Neither League nor Kunjalikutty has reacted to the report’s staunch criticisms. With group brawls overflowing, League fury could mean it will get difficult for KPCC to defend or dismiss the report.
