Kochi : The High Court on Friday refused to stay administrative reforms ongoing in Lakshadweep. In the Public Interest Litigations(PIL) pending before it, the court instead sought detailed explanation from both the Centre and the Administrator on conditions imposed by the latter on the island.
The deadline for response is two weeks. The Division Bench comprising Justices K Vinod Chandran and MR Anita, also refused to give consent for filing of another emergency PIL against the Lakshadweep administration.
The court also dismissed an appeal questioning changes made to covid protocols there and another PIL.
