Kochi: Lawyers come forth to protest e-filing of cases, citing the High Court’s notification in this regard was a hasty one without prior discussion with lawyers’ or clerks’ associations. The HC issued notification mandating e-filing for all cases once courts opened after summer vacation on Monday.
Several lawyers requested Chief Justice to refrain from suddenly imposing a procedure that required prior technical training. The shift to e-filing should be stalled for at least 6 months, said their request submitted to Bar Council, Supreme court, Kerala High Court and the Chief Justices.
