Thiruvananthapuram ; The cabinet on Wednesday decided to create 3051 new posts across different departments, raising the number of posts created by this government to above 30,000. If temporary posts too be taken into account the figure would exceed half-lakh, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a media briefing on Wednesdayl. Of the new posts decided upon today, 2027 pertain to the Health department of which, 1200 come under the Health Director, 527 under Medical Education Director and 300 under Asha Department.
33 posts have been added at Malabar Cancer Centre
17 posts have been created toward upscaling operations of Punalur Taluk Hospital.
A post for Asst. Prof. has been created in SAT, Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for setting up Pediatric Gastroenteritis ward there. For the purpose, the meeting decided to permit the Medical College Principal to identify non-teaching staff (2nd grade Staff Nurse, 2nd grade Hospital Attender, 1st grade Attender, Nursing Assistant) from within or alternatively hire staff on contractual basis.
151 new posts were created across 35 aided higher secondary schools. Over and above this, 24 HSST junior posts were upgraded.
One post for psychologist each was created for jails in Thiruvananthapuram, Viyur and Kannur for their prison clinics. In jails with inmates up to 250 a post for counselor(maximum of 5 posts) was created.
For the new central jail set up at Avanoor Central jail, 161 posts have been created.
22 posts were created for Centre For Continuing Education.
14 posts for Junior Lecturer and 3 for that of Lecturers, were created at Govt College of Music.
9 permanent posts were created for Mannathi State Bio-Control Lab in Thrissur.
30 posts for non-teaching staff were created at Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies. Of this, 24 pertain to new posts and 6 were designated for retired personnel.
Posts were created for 7 Asst. Professors at Kozhikode Gvot Physical Education College
100 posts were created for the newly started New Govt and Arts College.
65 new posts were created for setting up new Fire Rescue Departments in Thannur,
Pattambi, Kongad, Kolankode, and Kallambalam. It was decided to grant principle approval was lend for setting up of fire stations at Ullur, Mavoor, Chimmini, Panamaram,, Vethiri, Rajankode, Aranmula, Palode and Neryamangalam.
It was also decided to invite applications from sports stars for 249 vacancies across govt departments.
20 posts were created for Grade-2 Junior Health Inspector at Kozhikode Corporation.
50 posts were created for translators at Munsif and Magistrate courts so as to make Malayalam the courts’ official language.
It was also decided that, until the winding of AHADS(Attapady Hills Area Dev Society), super-annuity posts will be created in Forest Dept and local self bodies to accommodate 32 Literacy Inspectors from the Adivasi segment as per their eligibility.
