Kollam : LDF grabbed governance of Ottakkal Ward 5 from UDF after its candidate Anupama won the election there following death of UDF member Chandrika Sebastin.
UDF candidate Bijili James lost for 34 votes. Asha Ambika contested for BJP. Anupama secured 561 votes and Bijili 527.
