Thrissur : LDF retains its seat in Vellangallur Block Panchayat, Thrissur where LDF candidate, Sumita Dileep of CPI won by 259 votes. The by election was held for Kompathamkadav division of the Block Panchayat following death of LDF’s Beena Sudhakaran.
The seat positions are : LDF 9, UDF 4.
