Kozhikode : LDF retained Ward-5 in Thikkody panchayat, Kozhikode district with CPI(M)’s Sheeba winning the local body bypoll election with lead of 448 votes.
Sheeba secured 791 votes, while UDF Adv Akhil Puthiyott got 343 and BJP candidate Bincy secured 209 votes. BJP was second runner up during election the last time.
