Attingal : In the byelections held for Cheruvallimukku and Thottavaram wards under Attingal Municipal Corporation, LDF snatched two sitting seats of BJP. At both places BJP was pushed to third position.
LDF’s MS Manju won the Cheruvallimukku seat and G Lekha in Thottawaram. The by-elections were held following BJP members resigning in both wards. BJP had won in Cheruvallimukku the last rime by 4 votes.
