Liquor Sale Hits Record High During Christmas; Booze Worth Rs 229.80 Crore Sold

Thiruvananthapuram : Liquor sales in Kerala hits all-time high during Christmas. Sales on Dec 22,23 and Christmas eve of 24th amounted to Rs 215.49. Plus that to booze sold on the big day of 25th and the figure rises to Rs 229.80 crores.

Arguably, Christmas day consumption was bit lower if compared to last year tally. Sale of alcohol figured at Rs 82.52 on the 25th this time while last year figure for the day was Rs 90.03.
