NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejrival in a press conference on Monday announced week-long lockdown for the capital following huge surge in Covid cases. The move comes post Delhi reporting 23,500 fresh infections in the past 24 hours.
There will be no shortage of food supplies or medical treatment, Kejriwal assured at the meet. Staff at all private enterprises must work from home. Only government offices and essential outlets shall remain open under lockdown. Gathering at weddings would be limited to 50 persons for which passes shall be issued to restrict numbers. Lockdown will come into force from 10 pm this night. Delhi is already under weekend curfew.
