Uduma : A truck carrying paper rolls nearly fell off a railway overbridge in Kulanad in Uduma leaving the driver and the lorry’s cleaner injured. The accident took place Friday morning 7.30 am. The loaded truck was bound from Tamil Nadu and headed to Kasaragod.
The truck overturned and crashed into the safety rails of the overbridge. Still, a major accident was averted as the truck stayed short of plunging onto the tracks below.
Large paper sheet rolls broke loose and fell on the rails in the impact. Both injured men are admitted to the hospital in Kasaragod. The accident caused traffic jam on the Kanhangad-Kasarkod state highway. Locals joined police efforts and moved the truck further away.
