New Delhi : In a harsh hike that comes just 2 weeks from the last, prices of domestic LPG cylinders have been raised by Rs 25.20 climbing its cost to Rs 891.50 now. The cost on commercial cylinder too stands raised, by Rs 73.50 this time, with price per cylinder touching Rs 1692.50 now.
With households across the country reeling from crisis caused by Covid conditions, this blow comes after the a hike effected just two weeks back – by Rs 25 at the time. Thus, hike in a fortnight totals to Rs 50 in all. .
LPG prices were hiked in months of March, July and August. And the subsidy on LPG, paid into beneficiaries’ accounts directly, has long ceased to be. Petrol and diesel price hikes have been incessant, amid which, the cooking gas inflation adds to distress further.
