New Delhi: The cost of domestic cylinder has been hiked by Rs. 25 raising its price to Rs 826 per cylinder in Ernakulam, Rs 828.50 in Kozhikode and Rs 828. Alongside has been steeply upped cost of commercial cylinder by Rs 100 raising its price to Rs 1618 now.
The current raise by Centre is its second in the past two weeks, culminating in hike of Rs 200 per cylinder. Earlier, PG cost was raised by Rs 25 followed closely by record hike of Rs 50 5 days later.
The central govt withdrew subsidy on domestic cylinders way earlier. Apart from cooking gas, prices of petrol and diesel too have reached record levels with incessant spike becoming habitual with the centre, despite low crude prices in the international market.
