Kochi: The High Court on Friday said it will deliver ruling on former Principal Secretary M Sivasankar’s anticipatory bail plea on 28th, No arrest shall be made until then, the court ordered Friday.
M. Sivasankar had petitioned the court for anticipatory bail in connection with Customs and ED cases related to the gold smuggling case.
Sivasankar told the court he was apprehensive of likely arrest from the two authorities. “The agencies are looking for ways to carry out an arrest; I have been subject to a total of 101.5 hours of questioning and the process has affected my health adversely,” Sivasankar said. The notices served by agencies do not even bear case number, Sivasankar said, adding that he feared chances of unwarranted arrest.
