Guwahati : Another madrasa, the 3rd this month, is being demolished over alleged links to terror outfit, Taliban. The demolition follows arrests of 5 men who are accused to be connected with with Bangladesh-based terror group. The madrasa being clawed by cranes is : Markazul Ma-Arif Quariyana and is located in Kabaitary Part IV Village in Bongagon.
Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma said the madrasa does not function as an educational institution, rather it operates as a terror hub.
Following the five arrests, police had conducted raids on the Markazul madrasa last evening. The demolition is being carried out on directions from the district administration.
