Man Arrested After Bludgeoning Mother-in-law To Death With Hammer: Atingal

Attingal: A Varkala native, Anil Kumar, was arrested for killing his mother-in-law by hitting her on the head with a hammer. The deceased woman, Preetha(50), a resident of Renuka Apartment in Attingal’s Karichiyil. Her husband, Babu, a retired KSRTC employee too was injured in the attack. The incident took place late last night 10 pm.

Anil Kumar(40) and his wife had constant fights, which he considered was triggered by her parents’ influence in their matters. The rage over this is believed to be reason behind the violent killing. When Anil arrived at the in-laws’ house last night, he brought the hammer along and attacked.
