Perinthalmanna : A man in Malappuram’s Perinthalmanna set goods auto on fire after packing his family into the vehicle and then killing himself as well. The tragic incident took place this noon 12 pm on Kondiparambu Panchayat road along Pandikkad – Perinthalmana route.
The deceased are : Malambuzha native Muhammad, wife Jasmine and their son Safa. The lone survivor, the couple’s 5-year-old daughter remains critical from burns at a private hospital.
Muhammad had arrived at wife Jasmine’s maternal home in Kondiparambu and persuaded the family to climb into his pickup auto. Muhammad then set the auto on fire and with burns he sustained , jumped into a nearby well.
The trigger for the gruesome deed is not immediately clear. Police have begun investigations.
