Idukki : The Idukki man who bludgeoned 6-year-old boy to death using hammer has been sentenced with capital punishment. Convicted with death is the victim Altaf’s maternal uncle Sunil Kumar(50) from Vandiperiar Mlamala.
The verdict was pronounced by Idukki Fast Track POCSO Court.
The horrifying incident took place in Idukki’s Aanachal in September of 2021. Sunil Kumar killed the little boy hitting him on head with a hammer and sexually assaulted his 14-year-old sister.
The death sentence is for murder of the child. Sunil Kumar also received an additional 92 years in prison for sex assault of the teen girl and other charges.
