Kolkata : The Left Front organised hunger protest in Kolkata demanding action to end communal violence in Manipur, stringent proceedings against those humiliating women and resignation of the Chief Minister.
Hundreds from different walks of life joined the strike held in Maulali square.CPI(M) Bengal State Secretary Muhammad Salim inaugurated the strike. The Left Front Cheirman Biman Basu, CPI MP Biangam Suryakantha Mishra, and leaders of the allied parties were present at the venue. Student, yough and women’s organisations took out a march.
