Alappuzha: Maoist leader CP Moideen is arrested. He was apprehended by the anti-terrorist squad(ATS) in Alappuzha while traveling by bus late Thursday night.
Formerly a member of Kabani Dalam, Moideen is now a leader of Banasura Dalam of the banned outfit and has been in forest across Wayanad, Nilambur and Kannur since 2017. Moideen is arraigned in several cases, including under UAOA. A lookout notice had been issued for him.
Moideen is brother of Maoist leader CP Jaleel who was killed in a shootout at a resort in 2019.
