Kochi : The High court of Kerala today permitted burial of bodies of Maoists, killed at Palakkad’s Agali during encounter with police.
The postmortem bears all information required, observed Justice R Narayana Pisharadi, as he issued the order to allow cremation of Manivasam and Karthi.
The Court further ordered ballistic examination of police guns used to shoot the Maoists. The results shall be submitted before Palakkad Sessions Court and fingerprints of the deceased Maoists shall be collected, the court said. The cause of their deaths shall be ascertained, it added.
The ruling came over petitions submitted by relatives of the deceased Maoists, pleading the High Court to initiate murder charges against the police .
