Marchers From Kerala Take-off For Historic Protests in Delhi

Kannur:  Farmers under aegis of farm organisations in Kerala set off on their  march to Delhi to join what will be marked as historic protest witnessed by the country. The march was flagged off by All India Kissan Sabha president S Ramachandran Pillai at  Head Post Office in Kannur on Monday morning.

The first batch of farmers comprise over 500 volunteers from various districts. They are headed for Shajahanpur protest venue  where they will arrive on  the 14th. The group is being headed by vice president to state farmers’ organisation, VM Shoukhat Khan. At Shajahanpur, they will be led by state president KK Ragesh M.P, Secretary KN Balagopalan and so forth.

More  farmers will join the Delhi-bound march later in the day from Thaliparambu, Pilathara and  Payyanur in Kannur and volunteers from district of Kasaragod will join from the reception venue at Kasaragod town. The  marchers will reach Jaipur on 13th before hitting Delhi on the 14th.

The next batch of marchers from farm organisations in Kerala will leave on the 21st.
